UE Students Establish IEEE Student Branch to Advance Responsible AI and Emerging Technologies
Students at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) have established an IEEE Student Branch at the Berlin-Potsdam campus within the UE Innovation Hub. The student-led initiative will support academic and professional engagement in artificial intelligence, software engineering, robotics, data science, electrical engineering, cybersecurity and other emerging technologies.
The branch will organise technical workshops, hackathons, expert talks, industry visits, networking events and collaborative projects. These activities will help students apply classroom knowledge to practical engineering challenges, strengthen interdisciplinary skills and build connections with researchers, technology companies and the IEEE community.
“Students should not only understand new technologies but also contribute to designing and applying them responsibly. The IEEE Student Branch creates an important platform for innovation, technical exchange and collaboration between students, academia and industry,” said Prof. Dr Talha Ali Khan, Vice President of Research and Programme Leader of MSc Data Science at UE.
