Free legal support for students

UE offers free legal support for students in Berlin and Potsdam.

University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) has forged a strategic partnership with SERS Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (SERS), a prominent law firm, to offer personalised visa and immigration guidance to its international student body, without incurring any additional expenses.

This collaboration with SERS aims to provide comprehensive support to UE students right from their arrival in Berlin or Potsdam. The experienced legal team at SERS extends a warm welcome to students, offering informative sessions on vital rights and obligations within the framework of German immigration laws. This invaluable orientation eases their integration into the local system.

Under the terms of this agreement, SERS will facilitate the initial residence permit application process and schedule individual appointments for students with the Immigration Office Berlin/Potsdam. Commencing on September 1, 2023, this partnership will be expanded to encompass assistance in obtaining a job-seeking residence permit upon successful completion of studies within the stipulated timeframe. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to participate in group consultations led by SERS’ legal experts, enabling them to seek answers to their legal queries.

It’s important to note that UE students can access these services completely free of charge, subject to certain terms and conditions. This invaluable support allows them to concentrate on their academic pursuits and enjoy a rewarding experience while studying abroad.
