Your path to a Bachelor's degree at the UE
The application deadline for the winter semester is September 1st* and for the summer semester February 28th (Non-EU: February 5th). After these deadlines, there will be a waiting list procedure for available study places each semester. If you already have a valid student visa for Germany, you can apply within the official application deadline.
* Please take into consideration delays e.g. with entry visa.
The following requirements apply for the start of a Bachelor's degree:
- General higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for studies at universities of applied sciences incl. practical parts*.
- Successful admission procedure: As a rule, this is an entrance test. For our study programmes in sports sciences, the entrance test is replaced by the proof of sport aptitude. The proof provided must not be older than two years. If the sports aptitude test is taken at UE, a medical certificate confirming unrestricted fitness for sports and swimming must be submitted.
- The medical certificate must not be older than twelve months on the date of application. In addition, applicants under the age of 18 must submit a declaration of consent from their legal guardians to take the sports aptitude test.
We offer regular appointments for our sports aptitude test at our campus in Iserlohn.
There is no restriction by NC (Numerus Clausus).
*In exceptional cases, it is also possible to study without the general (technical) university entrance qualification. This requires a completed vocational training, at least two years of work experience in a subject-related vocational training and enrolment in a subject-related degree programme.
Achievements in degree programmes at other state or state-recognised higher education institutions as well as achievements made outside of higher education are recognised upon application, provided that their equivalence with the achievements in the degree programme in question has been established. Equivalence shall be established if no significant difference can be proven and the achievements essentially correspond in content, scope and requirements to the study programme for which recognition is applied for. The examination board is responsible for this. The specific requirements for recognition and the exact procedure for this are regulated in the relevant examination regulations for the studyprogramme.
