Evelyn Solinski
Evelyn Solinski is an expert in hybrid design and creative realization, working at the intersection of art, science, and design. Since 2017, she has been a Research Associate at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE), serving in a strategic dual role:
Innovation & Development: Within the Research and Development team, she leads the UE Hybrid Publishing Practices area. As the founder of the university's concept press (UE Publishing Practices), the UE Archive, and the hybrid research platform UEsearch, she develops forward-thinking strategies to translate academic and artistic content into innovative publication and exhibition formats.
Art & Design Education: In the field of visual communication, she teaches design as a tool for complex social and ecological discourse. The central leitmotif of her teaching is the question: "How do we want to live in the future?" Through her courses in experimental design, typography, and design management, she bridges the gap between strategic planning and artistic translation, fostering a critical design approach that effectively links theory and practice.
In her independent artistic work, she explores the boundaries of language, materiality, and transcription. Her interdisciplinary projects have led to international collaborations with institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Norwegian Theatre Academy in Fredrikstad.
