James is a copywriter for the GUS network of universities. He holds a master’s degree in international journalism and has worked in various communications and copywriting roles in both private and non-profit sectors. His career to date has included roles as a communications strategist and writer for think tanks and charities in both the US and the UK. His public relations work has led to stories placed in national news media, and his writing spans agencies, media outlets and in-house teams across industries like education, AI, entertainment and sport. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in communications, researching message development strategies for under-resourced policy groups.
