Spotlight Module: "Introduction to Sports Anatomy and Sports Medicine "
In the "Introduction to Sports Anatomy and Sports Medicine" module, students gain foundational knowledge of anatomical structures and physiological functions relevant to sports performance. They learn about the muscle and bone systems, the spine's structure and function, and the nervous system's essential elements. Additionally, students study the cardiovascular system, its response to physical activity, and the importance of regular exercise for physical health. They also explore haematological peculiarities and the respiratory system's functions. Through this module, students develop a solid understanding of sports anatomy's role in optimising performance and preventing injuries.
