Did you know that Ersti refers to first year students in the German language? This mandatory event is the place for you to learn about key information, make new connections, and find out how to succeed at UE. Taking place the week before classes begin, we offer a variety of sessions to connect you with faculty, staff, and UE students. You will be introduced to strategies, tools, connections, resources, and advice to ensure your smooth transition into your first semester. You will meet faculty, professional staff, the UE Tech team, career specialists, get answers to your immigration and financial questions, and meet with the faculty experts in your study program on campus.

The university information system CampusNet offers everything about:
- Application and admission procedures
- Student administration
- Overview of degree programmes
- Viewing examination schedules and results
- Faculty information
It is your responsibility as a student to have the technical equipment (e.g. laptop or smartphone), including the necessary software, at your disposal at the beginning of your studies in order to be able to participate fully in the teaching and examination formats.
How can we provide students with an engaging learning experience on and off campus?
- If for some reason government guidelines change in the next few months, we can't open our campuses. However, our study guarantee assurance offers you the following benefits:
- If your campus is not open, we will offer our programmes through online classes. Your learning experience will match the face-to-face experience and follows a similar schedule.
- We will offer our programmes via streaming with MS Teams and provide you with all the support you would expect from our career, library and other UE services.
You will find everything about our service and finance team in this FAQ.
Please find all location-related information in regards to COVID-19 across all our campuses here: Hamburg (DE and EN), Iserlohn (only DE), Berlin and Potsdam.
