Artificial Intelligence and Technology Seminar
The department of Data Science at the UE Innovation Hub invite you to a digital webinar which brings together experts from the field of Artificial intelligence and technology. In our upcoming session, we have invited three industry experts in their fields to share their knowledge and experiences with our students.
The first speaker is Dr. Steve Ling, he is a senior lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney and he will be talking about "How does Artificial Intelligence solve medical problems?". Dr. Ling has authored and coauthored over 210 books, book chapters, journal and conference papers on artificial intelligence and its applications. Currently, he serves as Associate Editors for IET Electronic Letters, Sensors, CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology and HKIE Transactions.
The second speaker is Dr. Kashif Nawaz, Senior Cryptography Hardware Engineer at the Technology Innovation Institute, UAE. Dr. Nawaz will be talking about "Cryptography in a post-digital-pre-quantum evolving world: Trends and Challenges". Dr. Nawaz has previously worked as a project assistant in CASED, Darmstadt, Germany and as an Intern in the RF team at Analog Devices, India. His primary research areas are at the intersection of Nanoelectronics and Applied Cryptography.
The third speaker is Dr. Chaima Ben Rabah, researcher at the Qatar University and she will be talking about "Source Scanner identification models: role of machine learning and artificial intelligence". Dr. Chaima is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Qatar University. She received her Ph.D. in ICT from IMT Atlantique (France) and SUPCOM (Tunisia), where her thesis focused on digital image forensics.

The event has been organised by Dr. Talha Ali Khan, professor for Data Science at the UE Innovation Hub. The seminar will be conducted in a hybrid mode, students and faculty will be able to attend in person at our Innovation Hub, and for those who cannot attend in person, the event is accessible through Microsoft teams.
