Soccer Analytics Network

Soccer Analytics Research, Campus Hamburg

The Soccer Analytics Network deals with instruments that demand intensive research and development in the area of professional soccer. The goal is to create a link between complex analyses of soccer data and comprehensible information for professional coaching staff. Using existing data pools, customized algorithms and models are developed and programmed. They are then tested and evaluated on a quantitative level. The instruments developed are used in fields of classic scouting, opponent analysis, game preparation and follow-up as well as strategic game planning.

The research project CLIP was founded on October 1st 2011 at BiTS in cooperation with the Hochschule für Gesundheit & Sport, Technik & Kunst in Berlin. The project was funded by the Federal Ministry for education and sports.

Goal: 
Development and evaluation of an instrument for diagnostic of talent, human resources development and employee selection in the field of professional football, development of  an algorithm for movement activities.

Improvement of standardized training in professional football
