We are looking for a new colleague to join our freelance lecturers’ team in Hamburg on a 3 SWS basis for the coming winter semester 2022/23.
Freelance Lecturer (m/f/d) “Chartering Practice”
Your Tasks:
Implementation of the course "Chartering Practice" in 1st semester master program (teaching language: English). Students should in particular:
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of charter market reports and other sources of market information;
- Apply techniques to effectively undertake a voyage estimation and laytime calculation and analyse its results;
- Implement and critically interpret the procedures relating to charter party drafting and the wording of main clauses of charter parties;
- Make sound judgements and communicate the necessary changes of charter party clauses in order to protect the interests of the owner / charterer;
- Develop personal effectiveness in terms of chartering practice and methods and reflect constructively on their own learning experience for future decision-making skills.
- Preparation and evaluation of certificates of achievement
Your profile:
- Relevant professional experience
- Completed relevant university studies.
- Teaching experience at universities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Organizational skills
